Directions

I plan to start the session at 10.30 and finish at 11:30. Students Junior or Senior can turn up any time during this period and join in training, and also leave anytime they want to. Juniors and seniors will train together.

Everyone is welcome to bring Parents/guardians, Aunts/Uncles, friends and anyone else that might like a nice trip out. The lakes, (for those of you who haven’t been before) are a place of outstanding natural beauty. So why not drag them along to admire the scenery, as well as some outstanding Karate!

If you want to go straight there, probably the best place to park for the special training course at Virginia Water Lake would be in the lay which runs alongside the A30. This is just near the Wheatsheaf public house and the junction of the B389 Christchurch road (If you park in the official car park it will cost you £5.00!)

From the lay by, cross the A30. Please take care as this is a very busy road. Make your way across the official car park to the lake itself. As you look at the lake, follow the path to your right. If you go left, it is a long way round the lake and you want to be conserving your energy for the session!

Assuming that you’ve followed the instructions so far, continue following this right hand path round keeping the lake close to your left hand side. You will come to a small rocky bridge. This should separate another lake/pond. Go across this bridge and keep going straight, (you should by now be able to see the totem pole by now!) This walk should take you no longer than 10 minuets.

Dress according to the weather, if it rains, we’ll all be getting wet! It may be an idea to bring a change of clothes as we may seek refreshment in one of the local taverns after training! Please don’t wear your gi’s, grass stains are a nightmare to get out!

If you get lost or have any other problems, call me on my mobile. 07833-991934

PLEASE DO NOT WEAR YOUR GI (KARATE SUIT)
